CATA, DriveChicago.com and Scout Automotive to Partner

CHICAGO — An agreement between the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and Scout Automotive Marketing will make car shopping on DriveChicago.com an even better experience for consumers. The deal, which places Scout’s Trade Express trade-in valuation tool on the DriveChciago.com site, gives shoppers a more accurate trade value for their car, with data provided by NADA Guides.

Additionally, Scout will be providing Chicago-area dealers the opportunity to add the Scout Trade Express tool to their websites, further increasing the opportunity for shoppers to get the best value for their trade, officials said.

“We wanted to make sure that researching and buying on DriveChicago.com continued to evolve and grow into the very best online buying experience available,” said Mark Bilek, DriveChicago.com general manager. “Adding Scout Trade Express to DriveChicago.com is the logical next step toward providing our shoppers with that great experience.”

With the growing emphasis on used cars and more accurate trade-in value for consumers, dealers are turning more and more to on-site trade-in tools that offer pricing information that offers benefit to both buyer and seller. NADA Guides, a partner in trade-in values for decades, provides the most “market reflective vehicle pricing and information” and is nationally recognized for its impartial data.

“Scout Automotive is dedicated to bringing the best trade-in values to DriveChicago shoppers and CATA dealers,” added Brett Lippel, chief strategy officer for Scout. “Combining the vehicle availability through DriveChicago.com and the accuracy of our trade-in pricing, Chicago new and used car buyers are going to feel even more secure in the values assigned their trade-ins…and that is going to help drive even more deals.”
