Midsize pickups, full-size SUVs, and sports cars are among the additional EVs that Chevy and General Motors plan to introduce across their lineups, according to sources.

Neither Chevrolet nor GMC have specified when they will go fully electric, but both automakers plan to introduce more EVs soon.

GMC has already launched the Hummer EV pickup and SUV, while Chevy has produced a fleet version of the Silverado EV full-size pickup. Electric versions of the Chevy Equinox and Blazer crossovers will begin production later this year. The GMC Sierra EV full-size pickup will follow in early 2024.

Though committed to electric vehicles, Chevy and GMC are also investing in the next generation of their most profitable gas-powered models. In June, GM committed over $2.3 billion to plants in three states and Canada that manufacture full-size pickups and SUVs, signaling their continued presence in the market.

Still, on the EV front, customers can expect to see the following in the years to come:

  • A freshening of the GMC Hummer EV and GMC Hummer EV SUV in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

  • An electric version of GMC’s Sierra full-size pickup in the first half of 2024.

  • Electric versions of the Chevy Express and GMC Savana full-size commercial vans in 2026, though these vehicles could be replaced with electric delivery vans from GM’s BrightDrop subsidiary.

  • Electric versions of the Tahoe/Suburban, Yukon and Ukon XL by 2026.

  • A fully electric Corvette EV in 2026 or 2027.
