DealerSocket CRM Introduces Customer Search Integration for all GM Dealer Users

San Clemente, Calif. - DealerSocket has integrated it's CRM software with General Motors, through the Dealer Customer Data Exchange (DCDE). DCDE, or the GM Dealer Customer Search, allows GM dealers to view customer information updates directly from the manufacturer from within DealerSocket. This extended view includes: customer information, service history, ownership lifecycle, active and inactive vehicle data, OnStar data and private offers.

"This type of integration with an OEM is very exciting for us and our dealers," said Reuben Muinos, director of business development, DealerSocket. "The ability to see which GM vehicles the customer currently owns or has previously owned is extremely valuable to a dealer. In addition, viewing GM private offers specific to a customer within our CRM makes the buying process quicker and easier for everyone."

DealerSocket has been working with the GM Dealer Technology Assistance Program (DTAP) team for over one year developing the integration. With this collaboration, GM dealers can quickly and easily access the GM database anytime they make a customer inquiry, whether it is a conquest, walk-in, phone prospect, previous sales or service customer, or internet lead.

The positive response from DealerSocket customers has been overwhelming. "This will be a huge benefit for both our sales and service staff, regardless of where a customer has done business," said Matt Casebeer, general manager, Capitol Auto Group. "Congratulations General Motors. This is the step in the right direction!"

General Motors' Dealer Technology Assistance Program is a comprehensive program designed to support GM dealers' choice of technology. DealerSocket will continue to work with the General Motors DTAP team for additional enhancements and new integration offerings to be released in the near future.
