Kaseff to Helm CFC Panel at Agent Summit Reinsurance Symposium

April 14, 2017

LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the upcoming Agent Summit have announced that David Kaseff, CFO of MarksNelson LLC, will serve as moderator for a panel dedicated to controlled foreign corporations (CFCs) at the event, which will be held May 21–24, 2017, at Paris Las Vegas.

“The IRS has taken a significant interest in the taxation of insurance companies over the years. Of particular interest to them has been the taxation of captive insurance companies and how they are being utilized,” Kaseff said. “Now, with the additional authority for them to gather information and the notion of ‘transparency’ becoming the new norm in tax compliance, taxpayers are being required to disclose more and more under this new regulatory regime.”

The panel, “CFCs: Changes, Threats and the Regulatory Horizon” is part of the fifth annual Reinsurance Symposium. It will begin at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, May 22, after a sponsored lunch. Kaseff will be joined by Zack Matta, National Auto Care’s vice president of corporate strategy, Matt Gibson, vice president of reinsurance sales for Protective Asset Protection, Bill Bigley, SouthwestRe’s CFO, and Rhonda Pinkerton, compliance director for The Tribal Domicile.

“David and his team bring unique perspectives and decades of combined experience to this panel,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom magazines. “Agents who have yet to fully engage the reinsurance component of dealer operations would be wise to attend.”

Registration for Agent Summit 2017 is open at the event’s website. Attendees who register by April 21 will enjoy a $100 discount. To discuss sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact David Gesualdo at 727-947-4027 or via email.
