MAG Releases Agent Summit Bourbon Tasting Results

LAS VEGAS — Attendees of the recent Agent Summit were invited to participate in a blind tasting of high-end bourbons, courtesy of Maximus Auto Group. Beginning with Sunday’s welcome reception and continuing for the next two evenings, agents had the opportunity to sample four varietals, rate their aroma, taste and finish, rank which bourbon they liked the best and try to guess which was the rarest and most costly. The company revealed the results of the tasting in an email to participants shortly following the close of the show.

MAG also hosted a drawing to give away a bottle of extremely rare 12-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Special Reserve. The winner of the drawing was announced at the 9:00 a.m. session on the last day of the show.

“We had such a great time hosting Agent Summit’s first bourbon tasting. Our booth was very busy and the bourbons we selected for the blind tasting were rare and well-received,” said Dean Harrison, president of Maximus Auto Group. “It seemed like everyone stopped by to get in on the fun — agents, industry partners and vendors. Congrats to Claudia for winning our bottle of Pappy!”

“We heard nothing but good things about the bourbon tasting. It was not something we had done before, and agents really, really liked it,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom. “Many of them asked if it would return next year, and I can’t imagine higher praise than that.”

More information about Agent Summit 2017, including the agenda, speakers and sponsors, is available at the event’s website.
