Colleyville, Texas – Ray Miller, Finance Manager at Joyce Buick GMC in Avon, Ohio, posted the highest score on the Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals (AFIP) Senior Certification Exam at AFIP’s inaugural Boot Camp, held in Cleveland in April. According to AFIP executive director David Robertson, “Ray is one of less than 25 candidates in 25 years to only miss one question on the entire exam. It’s quite an achievement.”

AFIP developed the Boot Camp concept, two days of accelerated preparation for the federal and state regulation-based AFIP certification exam, in response to dealer demand for expedited regulatory training. Candidates are expected to spend at least two weeks studying the course material on their own prior to the sessions. The Boot Camps are offered regionally, sometimes in conjunction with sponsoring dealer groups or vendors.

By passing the Senior Certification Exam, Miller advances to the second level of AFIP’s three-tiered hierarchy and earns the Senior Professional in Financial Services (SPFS) designation.
