The Volkswagen North America division president, Winfried Vahland, resigns a month after being appointed to this position, according to a report by the New York Times. Vahland leaves after 25 years with the company.
The automaker stated that the reason for Vahland's departure is due to a disagreement over how to organize operations in North America. Volkwagen made it clear that his resignation has nothing to do with the company's ongoing diesel-emissions cheating scandal.
