LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the annual Agent Summit have announced that the Reinsurance Symposium, which has become a fixture since it was first spun off into a pre-conference event in 2013, will return for a fourth consecutive year.

Agent Summit will be held May 9–11, 2016, at the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas, and the Reinsurance Symposium begins at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9. General Agents with a full show pass will be invited to attend the Reinsurance Symposium for no additional charge.

“I am a huge fan of the Reinsurance Symposium, and I’m happy our advisory board has positioned it so prominently in the Agent Summit agenda,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom. “Agents and agency principals who bring expertise in reinsurance to their dealer clients hold a very tangible competitive edge.”

This year’s symposium will include a meet-and-greet with reinsurance sponsors, a keynote address by Jim Smith, founder and CEO of SouthwestRe, and two 45-minute educational sessions. Gesualdo said more information on speakers and sessions will be announced this week.

Portfolio and SouthwestRe are the lead sponsors for this year’s Reinsurance Summit. They are joined by premier sponsors CNA National, GSFSGroup, Protective Asset Protection and Delaware Tribal Financial Services and general sponsors BOK Financial, Cornerstone Financial Consulting (div. Raymond James) and SunTrust Reinsurance Trust Services.

“As in years past, our sponsors will make the Reinsurance Symposium possible and our speakers will make it a success,” Gesualdo said. “We believe it’s one of the best educational opportunities our industry has to offer.”

Registration for Agent Summit is now open at the event’s website as well as by phone, fax and email. Attendees who register by April 4 will enjoy a $100 discount.
